Ascanio Zocchi

Ascanio Zocchi, an Italian artist and designer, was born in Riva del Garda in 1971. The mountain landscapes of Trentino, with their fragile balance, have always guided his design philosophy, which focuses on environmental sustainability and a sensitive, sophisticated use of natural materials. His profound knowledge of materials such as wood, marble, and glass -which he has shaped into harmonious designs aiming to blend ethics and aesthetics - has earned him four international A’ Design Awards in the home decor and objects category. Furthermore, he was included in the prestigious ADI Design Index 2023 for his Kotiso glass table.

Holding a degree in Fashion and Industrial Design, he teaches Interior Design as well as natural and innovative materials technology at various design institutes and academies. He collaborates with several companies in the glass, marble, and furniture sectors, as well as with trade organizations where he serves as a product and interior design consultant.

He is a former Managing Director of AIPi (Italian Association of Interior Designers) and has served on the graduation committees for interior design at the Politecnico di Milano. He was also an ambassador for AIPi at the first edition of Italian Design Day at the Farnesina (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), a member of the ADI distribution and services department, a member of the ADI Guarantee Committee, and a member of the ADI National Permanent Design Observatory at the Compasso d'Oro Museum in Milan.

He was named "Glass Ambassador" for his dedication and research within the architecture and design world regarding the use of glass. He devotes significant effort to the cultural promotion of Italian furniture and design in its original forms and materials, safeguarding the history and quality of Made in Italy.
